Sermon Text: Colossians 1:24-29. Service Podcast
Your Life is Hidden with Christ in God
In the fullness and busyness of our lives, it is helpful for us as a church to focus and engage our hearts. So, this fall we will look to the theme of being Hidden with Christ.
This phrase points to the promise of our Union with Christ: The truth at the heart of our salvation that we are united - spiritually, mysteriously, yet really and inseparably
- to Jesus. Whatever belongs to Jesus now belongs to us. Weekly liturgies of prayer, Scripture, and reflection that follow the sermon series are available on our website and attached to this email.
Christian Education Class & Children’s Sunday School: 9 to 10 a.m. at Waters, October 18 and 25 Glory in the Shadows: We will explore how the truth that our lives are “hidden with Christ” gives depth and breadth to how we think of our salvation, honors even the humblest aspects of our lives and work and also frees us from the burden of achievement.
Sunday School class (for children K-8th grade) This class will look at the theme of Union with Christ. As part of the time, breakfast will be served. Class will meet in the cafeteria. Melinda will be teaching.
